Retired CIA Senior Counterterrorism Analyst
Gina retired in 2022 after 34 years in the counterterrorism mission as a member of the CIA's Senior Analytic Service. Her initial analysis about the threat of Bin Laden and al-Qaìda were the first warnings if the global jihadist movement. Her career included work in Afghanistan and Iraq as a targeter, manager of the CIA's analytic tradecraft, and numerous roles in CT.
Adjunct Professor, Georgetown University
Gina is a professor (adjunct) in the Security Studies Program of the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown, where she teaches Ethics in Intelligence Support to National Security and Hunter Gatherer National Security, the latter course explores a new security studies theory initiated by Gina that explores concepts, strategies, tactics, and approaches for societal and national security that pre-date the Neolithic Revolution that she asserts are more applicable today than during hunter-gathering prehistory.
Author
Gina has published two books - National Security Mom 1 and 2 - and many articles on national security. She has also published her first novel, a historical fiction spy thriller - If Two of Them Are Dead - that brings together two female spies during the Revolutionary War period.

Sanctions can range from mild to severe, including specific trade restrictions and financial penalties. An embargo is an extreme, comprehensive ban on trade meant to isolate a nation entirely.
